The human brain is considered to be the most powerful organ in the body as it can remember, focus, dream, manipulate, make decisions, etc. But how many of us make proper use of our brain? We all have wandering thoughts and always feel bad and regret that we do not have much concentration. But let’s not worry about it anymore, as here we have wonderful techniques to focus to be a winner.
There are many ways to focus, and some of the most important ones are listed below. They are:
Meditation is the cheapest and the most effective way of focusing. Sit down in “Padmaasana” position and start breathing in from one nostril and breathe out through the other nostril and then try to focus on any image. If there is belief in God, we can try to imagine god’s figure or anyone who is close to our heart. Try to bring in the image with the eyes closed and focus on the image for at least 20 to 30 minutes at a stretch and when we open our eyes, we would definitely be a better individual. To begin with we can start with a few-minute meditation and then gradually increase the meditation timing.
Multitasking is another popular way of getting distracted and not focusing on one work at a time. This happens especially to children when they sit for food. There will be so many distractions happening in their mind that they do not focus on the food they have to eat. Even adults too, multitask like walking and talking, bathing and singing, etc. If any work is done with other distractions, it will not be done efficiently. So please stop multitasking attitude and focus on one work at a time so that we can achieve at least 60% efficiency in the work that we do.
We all have our own favorite environments for focusing and concentrating. There are people who would want complete pin drop silence for focusing whereas some would prefer soft music or chanting of mantras, etc. Try out one by one and find out what would be an ideal environment for concentration and once that has been found, then focusing on any object or thing would be a child’s play.
